hey my names cameron, this website is to learn about small engines and their components
these are the main components of an engine
- piston
- piston rod
- crankshaft
- gearbox
- clutch
- carbeurator
- gas tank/ gasoline
- throttle/throttle body
the difference between four strokes and two strokes.
- a four stroke takes gasoline in one tank and oil in another
- two strokes take mixed gas, oil and gasoline together.
- two strokes feel lighter and vibrate alot
what gas should you use for your small engine?
- ethanol free gas from a gas station regularly 81 octane
- vp racing gas
why should you use ethanol free gas?
ethanol contains water which when it enters the cylinder if you dont go through the gas quickly it can make your piston rust, potentiolly damgaing or ruining your piston. if your a kid like me you could do that so you have an excuse to get a larger piston and cylinder, but generally i would not prefer that.
